SUBJECT: Owner of suspicious device located over the weekend

INCIDENT LOCATION: Central High School, 800 East Central Entrance

On Friday, March 4th, 2011 shortly after 3:00PM the Duluth Police Department received information about a suspicious device in the parking lot at Central High School. An officer located the device and the State Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team was called to investigate further.
 
The State Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team initially determined the suspicious device to be non-explosive. Over the weekend police located the owner of the suspicious item and found it was part of a speaker that was inadvertently dropped between cars. Police have closed the investigation.
