Census data update
[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth is issuing a correction to its press release from March 16, 2011 about the 2010 Census. The City reported that Duluth's population in 2000 was 86,238, as a result of a revision issued by the Census following the release of the official count. A Census report from July 2000 indicated this number as the revised population estimate for Duluth. However, it was discovered that this was not the official amendment to the 2000 Census. The city has confirmed with the Census that the correct total should have been 86,319 which is the official amended and final count from the 2000 Census. This means there was a decrease of 54 people between the 2000 and 2010 Census.
