Highland Pump Station water main work planned for April 20th

The contractor for the Highland Pump Station Improvement project will be making a water main connection to the Highland Pump Station on Wednesday, April 20th from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM. As a result of this upgrade customers in a portion of the Woodland Zone may experience lower water pressures.  Sprinkler systems and automatic flush valves could be affected by pressure drops.  Also, customers are asked to limit their water usage during this time. The affected area extends from Kenwood Avenue on the east to Arlington Road, Piedmont Avenue and Hutchinson Road on the west and from approximately Skyline Boulevard on the south to Arrowhead Road on the north.

This work is a necessary component of the Highland Pump Station Improvement project which will improve water delivery to meet current and future demands for the City of Duluth's Woodland and Highland water zones.
