SUBJECT: Police Arrest Suspect in Several Vehicle Prowls

NATURE OF INCIDENT: Vehicle Prowl Arrest

INCIDENT DATE: 5/24/2011
INCIDENT TIME: 4:18 AM
INCIDENT LOCATION: 500 block of North 7th Avenue East

On Tuesday May 24th, 2011 at 4:18 AM Duluth Police officers attempted to stop a suspicious male riding a bike and carrying two bags in the 500 block of North 7th Avenue East. The male fled on foot, but was caught a short distance away. He was identified as Robert Richey, age 41 of Duluth.

Richey was in possession of a large amount of stolen property which was determined to have been stolen from several vehicle prowls in the area. 

Richey was transported to the St. Louis County Jail and charged with Felony Possession of Stolen Property, Felony Possession of an Electronic Incapacitation Device by a Prohibited Person and Fleeing a Police Officer on Foot.
