City land sale goes high tech.

Buyers able to view property for sale on line starting

The City of Duluth is offering 41 land tracts for sale via a live auction which is scheduled for Saturday, September 26^th. Interested people can simply go to the City of Duluth’s web site at www.duluthmn.gov  and view the list of properties for sale. These properties have been reviewed by City staff and determined to be surplus to the City’s future needs. 

The City has received numerous requests from citizens asking to buy city property for the purpose of more yard space or building development. This land sale will reduce the burden on tax payers by placing unused property back on the tax role and help the City financially.

The forty one properties, located throughout the city, include scenic vistas of the harbor and Lake Superior and beautifully wooded lots excellent for building the perfect home. Also included are properties well suited for business development.

The land auction is scheduled for Saturday, September 26^th beginning at 10:00 AM in the 3^rd floor City Council Chambers located at 411 West 1^st Street.  Interested buyers are encouraged to check out all the properties on line and in person at the sites. Please note the list of sale requirements. Any questions may be directed to the city of Duluth Property and Contract Management Division at 730-5430.
