INCIDENT LOCATION: Amity Creek (near 60th Avenue East and Superior Street bridge)
On Tuesday August 2nd, 2011 at 4:03 PM the Duluth Police Department and local first responders were called to a water emergency near 60th Avenue East and Superior Street in the Lester River.
Officers and local EMS arrived and learned that a 13 year old male was last seen in Amity Creek and had been pulled underwater. Amity Creek forks into the Lester River near the 60th Avenue East and Superior Street Bridge.
Search and rescue efforts are continuing. Any further information and updates will be provided through the Saint Louis County Sheriff’s Office.
