Volunteers needed for Enger Park trails project
 
[Duluth, MN] - The Enger Park Restoration efforts are underway; among them is the recently renovated Enger Tower. The City is in need of volunteers for the next phase of the Restoration Project. The City of Duluth is seeking volunteers to help build an accessible pathway from the parking lot to the gazebo in Enger Park. Volunteers are invited to help clear rocks and stumps, move base materials, finishing materials, and so forth.
 
The trail work is necessary to increase access to what will be a newly constructed grand gazebo capable of hosting large events or groups of people but will still provide the same spectacular view. The gazebo is funded by a generous donation from the Julia Newell Marshall Fund.  

No experience is necessary and all ages are welcome. Tools and materials will be provided.  City staff will be on hand to direct volunteers and answer questions.
 
Scheduled times for volunteers to help build the new accessible trail are:
 
Monday, August 15, 8:30-2:30 pm
Tuesday, August 16, 8:30-2:30 pm
Wednesday, August 17, 8:30-2:30 pm and from 5:00-8:00 pm
Thursday, August 18, 8:30-2:30 pm  
Friday, August 19, 8:30-2:30 pm
Sunday, August 21, 2:00-5:00 pm
