Glenwood Street Reconstruction Project Now Complete

 

[Duluth, MN] - A major project that has been under way for two years as part of the City of Duluth’s Street Improvement Program is now in its final stage. Glenwood Street, in the Lakeside neighborhood, will finally be open starting Friday, November 4, 2011 as construction crews remove barricades and the four way stop at 43rd Avenue East. The project commenced last year at 60th Ave East and moved west to 43rd Ave East. Users can expect improved driving conditions, new sidewalks on both sides of the street, shoulders wide enough for bicyclists, and newly installed utilities.    
 
Crews will continue to work on clean up and landscaping over the next few weeks.
 
The City thanks the residents in the neighborhood and the general public for their patience during this project.
