On Friday, November 4, 2011, a male was seen trying to enter offices in the Alworth Building in downtown Duluth. The male entered a dark office in a business that was closed. He was confronted by an employee of the business who asked for his identification and then asked him to leave. The male was identified as Mark Mathew Davis, a 48 year old Duluth resident. Davis was later arrested and lodged at the St. Louis County Jail for 3rd Degree Burglary and Possession of Marijuana. Davis admitted to taking a bag of change from a desk at the business.
