Community meetings to highlight water service in Duluth

[Duluth, MN] – Clean water is critical to the health and safety of any community especially here in Duluth. All customers expect immediate service and clean water when they turn on their faucet. Unfortunately, we also the face challenges of maintaining an aging infrastructure, topography, and harsh winter weather, all of which can cause significant problems and at times disrupt water service.

The City of Duluth is committed to providing the best quality water and service to its customers despite these challenges of working with aging water mains and antiquated machinery. Given the winter weather descending upon us, the City of Duluth Public Works & Utilities Department is heading out to the community to bring awareness to this critical service we all rely on. The public is encouraged to attend one of the following upcoming meetings where staff will present an insider’s view of the water delivery system and provide an overview of the current state of our water infrastructure system.
