The Duluth Police Department, Saint Louis County Sheriff’s Office, Hermantown Police Department, Proctor Police Department. UMD Police Department, Flood wood Police Department and Minnesota State Patrol will be partnering in a DWI Saturation on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011. to kick off the Thanksgiving weekend.
The saturation will feature increased enforcement along select corridors in the Duluth area. The Thanksgiving travel period is historically one of the deadliest of the year. This has brought about an increased focus on traffic safety during this holiday weekend. Impaired driving is a deadly threat on Minnesota roadways.
Local law enforcement, Towards Zero Death and Driving 4 Safe Communities are encouraging all drivers to take the initiative this weekend to make our roads safe.
