INCIDENT LOCATION: Downtown Duluth

On Thursday November 24th, 2011 (Thanksgiving Day) the Gobble Gallop Races will be held in Downtown Duluth. The first of four races starts at 9:00 a.m.   All four races start and finish at the First Lutheran Church on 11th Ave E and London Rd. The race routes run West on Superior Street, to 6th Ave W, and back to the church. 

London road will be closed from 10th Ave E to 12th Ave E. Superior Street will be closed from 6th Ave W to 10th Ave E.   Superior Street Eastbound traffic will be detoured up 6th Ave W to 2nd Street, and will continue East on 2nd Street.
 
Lake Avenue will be blocked off at Superior Street. Access to Canal Park, Park Point, and the DECC will be down 6th Ave W, Railroad Street, and the freeway exits onto South Lake Ave.
 
Downtown traffic should return to normal approximately 10:30 a.m... East Superior
Street traffic should return to normal approximately 11:30 a.m.
 
Drivers are urged to use caution and remain alert when driving in the area of this event.
