Chester Bowl Ski Hill to open today Monday,
December 19, 2011
[Duluth, MN] - Duluth Parks and Recreation's Chester Bowl ski hill will open for the season today Monday, December 19th from 4:30-8:30 PM.
The ski hill will be open Tuesday, December 20th through Thursday, December 22nd from 4:30-8:30 PM. On Friday, December 23rd, which is the first day of the holiday break, Chester Bowl Ski Hill will be open from 11:00-4:30 PM and closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. December 26 through the 31st the hill will be open daily from 11:00-4:30 PM and closed on Sunday, January 1st and reopening Monday, January 2nd from 11:00-4:30 PM (no school day).
Regular ski lift operations will be as follows: open Mondays, Thursday, and Fridays from 4:30-8:30 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM-4:30 PM. Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
The daily lift ticket rate for all ages is only $5.25 per day. Individual season lift ticket is $106.62 ($50 refund with 3 volunteer hours) and a family lift ticket is $165.59 ($75 refund with 6 hours of volunteer hours). Besides being very affordable, Chester Bowl is a great place to learn how to downhill ski for people of all ages. Alpine ski lessons will take place during the holiday break. Chester Bowl is located in the heart of Duluth at 1800 East Skyline Parkway.
