Duluth Police have identified the man who died Tuesday as Edward Everett Olson, age 62 of Duluth.
On Tuesday, January 24th, 2012 at 6:33AM the Duluth Police Department, Duluth Fire Department and Gold Cross Ambulance responded to a medical emergency at an office building located at 416 West Michigan Street. The caller said a male was down inside the building, unresponsive with shallow breathing.
Officers and medical personnel arrived at 6:34AM and found Everett deceased inside an elevator. A potential witness was with Everett in the elevator. Both work in a cleaning capacity inside the building and had worked the overnight shift. A custodian came into the building and found them and called his supervisor who then called 911.
Duluth Police are continuing to investigate this incident as a suspicious death and are not actively seeking any suspects in this case but are interested in locating anyone who may have witnessed anything related to this matter.
