Lakewalk detoured between 45th Ave and
51st Ave East
[Duluth, MN] - Lakewalk users will be detoured while workers install a force main under the walkway between 47th Avenue East and McCulloch Street in the Lakeside neighborhood. This work is part of the Lift Station No. 45 Pumping and Force Main Improvements project designed to eliminate sanitary sewer overflows. The closure and detour will begin February 6, 2012 and is expected to last until February 17, 2012.
The detour route is marked. Lakewalk users will turn south at 45th Avenue East down to London Road and reconnect to the Lakewalk at 51st Avenue East. For the six blocks along London Road, cyclists are asked to walk their bikes.
