The Duluth Police Department has released the identities of the Duluth boy and driver involved in Saturday evening’s fatal motor vehicle-pedestrian crash.
Tylerlee Charles Magliocco, age 4, was struck by a Green Ford Explorer on Saturday evening while crossing Grand Avenue near 92nd Avenue West. Magliocco was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center where he died Sunday.
The driver of the SUV that struck Magliocco was Cody Benjamin Fairbanks, age 18 of Duluth. There have been no charges against Fairbanks and he has been cooperating with the investigation. Neither speed nor alcohol appears to be contributing factors in the crash.
Duluth Police continue to investigate the crash. This is a very sad and unfortunate occurrence, not only for the Magliocco family, but also for Cody Fairbanks and his family. Police have no additional comment or details available at this time.
