INCIDENT DATE: 5/2/2012
INCIDENT TIME: 3:23PM
INCIDENT LOCATION: Horshoe Billiards 2415 West Superior Street

On Wednesday, May 2nd 2012 at 3:23PM Duluth Police were called to Horseshoe Billiards, 2415 West Superior Street. The owner called after he walked into his office and interrupted a burglary in progress. He yelled at the lone male suspect who then knocked him to the ground and fled.

Officers began searching the area and eventually located the suspect at 26th Avenue West and First Street at 4:19PM and he was taken into custody. The suspect was identified as Jeremy Carter, a 29 year old male, resident of Duluth.   Carter admitted being at Horseshoe Billiards and getting into an altercation with the owner, then running back to his Motel 6 hotel room and changing clothes before eventually being arrested.

Earlier in the day Duluth Officers had taken a burglary report that occurred at a nearby business. Duluth Police Investigators executed a search warrant on Carter’s hotel room and located items from both burglaries.

Jeremy Carter was transported to the Saint Louis County Jail and has been formally charged for 1st Degree Burglary, 3rd Degree Burglary and 5th Degree Assault.
