Woodland Ave sidewalk repairs start May 21
[Duluth, MN] – The sidewalks along Woodland Ave from St. Marie Street to Arrowhead Road will be replaced starting May 21, 2012. Crews will be on site to replace the spalled and scaled concrete sidewalk, driveways and curb & gutter. Removal and replacement will begin on the east side of Woodland Avenue from St. Marie Street to Arrowhead Road. Upon completion, work will commence on the west side of Woodland Ave to remove and replace deteriorated concrete. Woodland Ave was reconstructed in 2010 but problems surfaced with some portions of the concrete, and those portions will be replaced.
Due to the nature of the concrete repairs, Woodland Avenue will be reduced to one lane of travel and the sidewalk closed on the replacement side. During this time, access to driveways will be limited for up to seven days.
The City thanks the residents for their patience and will work to minimize the inconvenience.
