NATURE OF INCIDENT: Male to Hospital after Damaging/Entering Homes

INCIDENT LOCATION: 1100 block of 87th Avenue West

On Monday, May 28th, 2012 Duluth Police were called to the 1100 block of 87th Avenue West on a male suspect that had broken out a kitchen window of the caller’s house with a baseball bat and was in the kitchen. The homeowner was able to keep the suspect in the kitchen area while his wife and two kids were able to get out. 

Officers arrived and took the suspect into custody. The suspect was identified as Warren Schroyer, a 52 year old, male resident of Duluth. Schroyer said he had just taken methamphetamine a couple hours earlier and believed a mob was chasing him, which was unfounded. He was taken to a local hospital and evaluation.
 
UPDATE: After his release from the hospital Warren Schroyer was transported to the Saint Louis County Jail and he has been formally charged with 1st Degree Burglary, 2nd Degree Assault and 1st Degree Criminal Damage to Property.
