Ten City Parking Facilities Open for Grandma’s Marathon
The City of Duluth tomorrow will open ten surface lots and ramps for Grandma’s Marathon event parking. Four surface parking lots in CanalPark, containing 165 total spaces, will charge an event rate of $15 per space. Six downtown surface lots and ramps, located within a block of the race course and containing 1,713 total spaces, will charge an event rate of $10 per space.
The Canal Park lots only are open for pre-race parking from 4:00 a.m. to 5:45 a.m. Access in and out of these parking lots then will be shut down until after the races finish. The CanalPark lots will reopen to parkers about 3:00 p.m.
The downtown surface lots and ramps will be open from 5:00 a.m. until they are full.
Payment must be in cash and will be collected by Interstate Parking event staff at the entrance of each facility.

o       Open from 4:00 a.m. to 5:45 a.m.
o       Street closures render lot inaccessible during marathon
o       Reopening about 3:00 p.m.
·        Steam Plant Lot
o       55 West Railroad Street
o       Open from 4:00 a.m. to 5:45 a.m.

·        Sculptured Wall Lot
o       From South Lake Avenue, take a left onto Sutphin Street and then an immediate right at the alley
o       Open from 4:00 a.m. to 5:45 a.m.

·        Lake PlaceLot
o       Underneath Canal Park Drive bridge on south side of I-35
o       Part of race course (closed before and during race)
