City Provides Assistance to Skyline Neighborhood West of Spirit Mountain
[Duluth, MN] – The recent devastating flood in Duluth has resulted in washouts and road degradation. West Skyline Parkway just past Spirit Mountain was washed out creating a 15 foot wide ravine. Approximately 13 households live along the Parkway.
The City of Duluth Police Department has developed a plan to provide assistance to residents in the meantime.
- Contact points have been established with neighbors in the area who have the capacity to assist with emergency situations to communicate and coordinate with emergency personnel.
- City emergency personnel and its partners stand ready and able to assist with emergency evacuations.
The Duluth Police have made direct contact with the residents and will continue to do so.
Reconstruction of the road is a priority for the City of Duluth.
