Volunteers Needed for Hartley Park Restoration Work Sunday, June 24

[Duluth, MN] - Over 50 volunteers are needed to help fix boardwalks, bridges and trails at Hartley Park tomorrow, Sunday, June 24, from 2 - 5pm. Help restore the accessible trail from Hartley Nature Center to the pond. Strong arms and strong backs are needed for this work. Tall waterproof boots are recommended. Please bring work gloves, wheelbarrows, shovels, crowbars, socket wrench sets, hammers, heavy duty car jacks and large rock bars/chisels. Battery operated tools like power drills and circular saws will be useful. 
 
Pre-registration is encouraged. Please contact Cheryl, Volunteer Coordinator, at 218-730-4334 or cskafte@duluthmn.gov to register as a Hartley Park project volunteer by 11am on Sunday, June 24th. You will receive confirmation for your participation by 12 noon.
