City of Duluth accepting applications for Duluth Citizen Review Board
[Duluth, MN] – The Duluth City Council approved the creation of the Duluth Citizen Review Board on July 2, 2012 to act as an advisory board to the Police Department and City Council for the purpose of fostering relationships and strengthening trust and communication between the police department and citizens of Duluth.
The Board will consist of a minimum of 6 members appointed by the Mayor and subject to City Council approval: three members must be representative of communities of color, two female members, and one member with law enforcement background and one with no requirements. Members shall be residents of Duluth or must work within the city. City employees are not eligible.
Initial appointments to the citizen review board shall be as follows: two members for one year, two members for two years, and three members for three years.
