CASE NO.: 12149361
INCIDENT DATE: 8/6/2012
INCIDENT TIME: 1:49 AM
INCIDENT LOCATION: 17th Avenue East and South Street
On Monday, August 6th, 2012 at 1:49 AM a Duluth Police officer was approached by a male at 26th Avenue East and London Road who said that he had just been robbed near 17th Avenue East and South Street by four males who then left in a vehicle.
The victim said that he was in his car and was flagged down by a suspect who he first thought was a friend who needed a ride. The suspect got in the car and took the victim’s keys out of the ignition as another suspect came up to the car and pointed a handgun at him and demanded money and his cell phone. The victim said he felt the gun on his chin and thought it was plastic and may not have been real. After a brief struggle with the victim the suspects got away in a vehicle with some of the victim’s property.
At 2:58 AM another Duluth officer located the occupied suspect vehicle in a parking lot at 19th Avenue West and Superior Street. The victim identified the occupants as the suspects that robbed him. Some of the victim’s property was located on the suspects and in their vehicle, along with the air soft gun used by the suspects.
The following suspects were identified:
1) Jason Curtis, a 21 year old male, resident of Duluth
2) Jamichael Ramey, a 20 year old male, resident of Duluth
