SUBJECT: Public Meeting to Discuss Duluth Heights Connector Route

PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS DULUTH HEIGHTS CONNECTOR ROUTE 

[Duluth, MN] – A Task Force established by the City of Duluth to develop and evaluate alternative alignments for constructing a new road that would connect Arrowhead Road with Miller Trunk Highway (US 53) in Duluth Heights has completed its work.  The City will present the alternative preferred by the Task Force at a Community Information Meeting at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, August 28, 2012.  The meeting will be held in Room W2630 (The Commons) on the second floor of Lake Superior College, 2101 Trinity Road in Duluth. This is the same room that the first Community Information Meeting on the Duluth Heights Connector Study was held last November.  

The four alternative alignments for extending Joshua Avenue that were considered by the Task Force can be viewed on the City’s web site at: http://www.duluthmn.gov/progress/project_pages/joshua_avenue_extension.cfm.

Alternative 4 is the alignment preferred by the Task Force.
