INCIDENT LOCATION: 300 block of North 80th Avenue West
On Friday, October 26th, 2012 at 2:14 PM Duluth Police responded to the 300 block of North 80th Avenue West on a reported burglary in progress. One of the suspects was seen by a neighbor leaving the house with a flat screen television hidden under a blanket.
Officers located the suspects within a few minutes walking in the 7800 block of Grand Avenue near a computer sales and service store. One of the suspects had a stolen stereo in his backpack and a handgun was located in his shoe. The other suspect had the stolen television. Further investigation revealed a computer store employee confirmed that the suspects were just in his business trying to sell him the items. Also, witnesses confirmed these were the suspects seen leaving the house that was burglarized.
Both suspects were 15 year old juvenile males. Both were transported to the Arrowhead Juvenile Center pending formal charges. Charges on one of the suspect’s are for 1st Degree Burglary and the other suspect for 2nd Degree Burglary.
This case is active and remains under investigation. No further information is available at this time.
