The Duluth Police Department is reporting that individuals have been passing counterfeit currency in denominations of $20.00, $50.00, and $100.00 bills. The suspects have been passing these bills at commercial and retail establishments in the Twin Ports area and obtaining change in the form of legitimate currency. The Duluth Police Department is requesting that businesses dealing in cash transactions use extra care to examine these currency denominations to ensure that they are genuine. The serial numbers on the counterfeit currency seized to date are:

$50.00-AD71928773A and CF06285234A
$100.00-KL25138750A
