INCIDENT LOCATION: #10 BLOCK of East 7th Street
On Friday, December 21st, 2012 at 10:06 PM the Duluth Police Department was sent to a stabbing at a duplex in the #10 block of East 7th Street.
The initial investigation found a 54 year old male went to the neighboring apartment and reported he had just been stabbed and asked for them to call an ambulance. Officers arrived and found the victim with a life threatening stab wound.
The victim was taken to Essentia/St. Mary’s hospital by Gold Cross Ambulance and died at 11:36 PM. The victim’s name will be released pending full family notifications.
No suspect(s) are in custody at this time; however the Duluth Police Violent Crimes Unit is working on several leads. This is an active investigation and no other information is available at this time.
The Duluth Police Department is asking anyone with information related to this incident to please call 911.
