Duluth “LEAP” January Public Meeting Announcement
(Duluth, MN) The next Duluth Community-wide Local Energy Action Plan (LEAP) meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 29th at the Duluth Transit Authority office, located at 2402 West Michigan Street. The Duluth LEAP plan identifies short and long term goals, strategies, and actions over a ten-year time span (2013-2023) addressing energy efficiency and conservation for four energy sectors: Residential, Commercial & Industrial, Public, and Transportation.
This will be the last public meeting of the group to discuss the drafted goals, strategies, and action steps for each energy sector prior to submission to the City of Duluth administration for review. The energy sector meeting discussion times are:
10:00 a.m.to 12:00 p.m. - Residential and Transportation energy sectors
1:00 p.m.to 3:00 p.m. - Public and Commercial/Industrial energy sectors

Residents and businesses who are interested in how they can save energy and reduce their energy use are strongly encouraged to attend the LEAP meeting. Additional information will be provided on the Minnesota Green Step Cities program by Bill Mittlefehldt, northeast Minnesota CERTs Coordinator.
The Duluth LEAP planning process is made possible by The City of Duluth, in part from the City’s Energy Management Fund and is funded in part by the Knight Fund of the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation and the MN Power Conservation Improvement Program.
