INCIDENT LOCATION: 702 North 24th Avenue West
On Saturday, March 9th, 2013 at 3:31 PM Duluth Police responded to the 700 block of North 24th Avenue West on a death investigation.
Officers found the resident, a male in his 20’s, deceased. The investigation is being handled as a suspicious death. The Saint Louis County Medical Examiner’s Office will rule on the cause and manner of death. The victim will be identified pending full family notifications.
Duluth Police are following up on leads. Anyone with any information is asked to call 911. This an active investigation. No further information is available at this time.
UPDATE:
On Monday, March 10th, 2013 the Saint Louis County Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy on the victim and ruled the manner of death as a homicide and the cause; injuries due to a stabbing.
The victim has been identified as BRYAN ALAN STARNES DOB: 03/18/1985, a 27 year old male, who was a resident of 702 North 24th Avenue West. This is the address where Duluth Police were called on March 9th, 2013 regarding an unresponsive male.
The Duluth Police Department is following up on several leads. There are no suspects in custody. Anyone with any information is asked to call 911.
