On Friday, March 15th, 2013 at 11:00AM until 9:30PM and Saturday March 16th, 2013 at 10:30AM until 4:30PM the Lake Superior Lawmen and Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #9 will be hosting the 7th Annual Lake Superior Lawmen Hockey Classic to raise money for Courage Center Duluth.
Courage Center Duluth has served residents of the Duluth-Superior Twin Ports since 1979 by providing year-round adaptive sports and recreation programs to youth and adults with physical disabilities and vision loss, as well as youth with autism spectrum diagnoses. Families are also welcome to participate. The programs are supported by more than 180 community volunteers and funded in large part by the generosity of individuals, businesses and corporations.
The 24 Tournament Teams are made up of Police Officers, Firefighters, Air National Guard and other Emergency Service members from Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota and Canada. Games will be played at the Duluth Heritage Sports Center, Seitz and Sill Arena’s and at SAHA Arena in Superior, WI.
Please come and join players and their families, Courage Center staff and volunteers at our games. Tickets for our General Raffle Drawing will available at all arena’s throughout both days, with 100% of all proceeds going to Courage Center Duluth. The actual General Raffle drawing will be held Saturday night at the awards banquet and winners not present will be contacted.
The Lake Superior Lawmen Hockey Classic is free and open to the public. Our tournament contact person is Duluth PD Public Information Officer Jim Hansen and he can be reached at (218) 390-2232 if you have any questions. Thanks!
