At 21:23 this evening the Duluth Fire Department responded to a report of a garage fire at 415 S Arlington Ave.
Upon arrival, crews found a fire coming from the front of the detached garage. The house was occupied by the owners at the time of the fire and evacuated safely.
Crews advanced hose lines and quickly knocked the fire down. Crews were on the scene for over an hour.
There were no injuries reported during this fire and initial damage estimates are set at $5,000 to the garage and a 2003 Chevrolet Blazer inside the garage was a total loss.
The origin and cause are under investigation by the
Fire Marshal's office.
