NATURE OF INCIDENT: Duluth Man Charged for 1st Degree Sale of Methamphetamine

INCIDENT LOCATION: 400 block of North 51st Avenue West

On Wednesday, March 27th, 2013 at 4:44 PM Duluth Police Officers and the Lake Superior Drug & Violent Crime Task Force executed a search warrant on a residence in the 400 block of North 51st Avenue West. 

During the search warrant investigators located 16 grams of methamphetamine along with digital scales, methamphetamine packaging along with other evidence of drug distribution belonging to a male at the residence identified as Elfred Petruk, a 34 year old male resident of Duluth. 
Elfred Petruk was transported to the Saint Louis County Jail and has been formally charged with 1st Degree Sale of Methamphetamine.
 
Elfred Petruk has the following convictions:
  • 1995-2nd Degree Burglary & Tampering with a Motor Vehicle
  • 1997-Flee Police on Foot
  • 1998-False Information to Police, Disorderly Conduct
  • 1999-Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, 5th Degree Possession of Methamphetamine
  • 2000-5th Degree Assault & Violation of Order for Protection
  • 2001-5th Degree Assault
  • 2002- Theft
  • 2004-Illegal Use of a Police Scanner in a Motor Vehicle
  • 2005-Distribution of Methamphetamine
  • 2006-3rd Degree Assault
  • 2009-5th Degree Assault
