NATURE OF INCIDENT: Burglary-Duluth Man Arrested

INCIDENT TIME: 9:34 AM
INCIDENT LOCATION: 400 block East Sixth Street

On Friday, April 26th, 2013 at 9:34 AM Duluth Police were called to the 400 block of East 6th Street for a burglary that just occurred there.

Initial investigation revealed that three male suspects broke into the apartment and several occupants then confronted the suspects. An altercation took place at which time several occupants were maced by the suspects. The suspects then fled on foot, eastbound on 6th Street.  An officer located one of the suspects at 5th Avenue East & 6th Street and arrested him for 1st Degree Burglary. He was identified as Thomas Quinn, a 20 year old male resident of Duluth. The two other suspects were last seen running eastbound on 6th Street from the apartment and were described as follows:
1)      White male wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants and a white "painters style" mask with side filters attached.
2)      White male 6’3”, thin build, wearing a white "painters style"  mask with side filters attached.
Two victims of the robbery were transported to a local hospital for non- life threatening injuries. Also, suspect Thomas Quinn was taken to Essentia St. Mary’s hospital for non-life threatening injuries he sustained during the burglary.
Duluth Police are following several leads. Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to call 911. This is an active investigation. No further information is available at this time.
