INCIDENT LOCATION: Mesaba Avenue & 3rd Avenue West
On Saturday, April 27th, 2013 at 6:14 AM Duluth Police were called to a single vehicle accident with injuries on Mesaba Avenue at 3rd Avenue West.
Initial investigation revealed that a 1996 Honda Civic driven southbound in the 300 block of Mesaba Avenue lost control, traveling over the center median and across northbound lanes of Mesaba Avenue before crashing into a guardrail.
The driver identified as Jacob Abrahamson, a 22 year old male resident of Duluth and a 25 year old male passenger of the vehicle both suffered non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Essentia Health (St. Mary’s) hospital.
After being released from the hospital Jacob Abrahamson was transported to the Saint Louis County Jail for Felony Criminal Vehicular Operation, Gross Misdemeanor DWI, Reckless Driving and No Proof of Insurance. This is an active investigation. No further information is available at this time.
