Y.W.C.A. Mother’s Day Walk - Run
Saturday, May 11, 2013, 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM
Traffic Advisory:
On Saturday, May 11th, 2013 at 7:30 AM Duluth police will begin to detour traffic off Railroad Street and Harbor Drive for the Y.W.C.A. Mother's Day Walk/Run.
Railroad Street will be closed to traffic between 5th Avenue West and Garfield Avenue. Harbor drive behind the DECC will also be closed for the event. The DECC East gate (near the Irvin) will remain open.
The Run/Walk event begins on Harbor Drive near the Irvin. Participants will run west bound behind the DECC and onto the sidewalk leading into Bayfront Park. They will continue through the Bayfront gravel parking lot to Railroad Street and turn west to a turnaround point and back the same route to finish on Harbor Drive.
The DECC main Railroad Street entrance and the Harbor Drive entrance/exit (near the Irvin) will remain open. No traffic will be allowed on Harbor Drive south of the Harbor Drive DECC gate.
5th Avenue West will remain open, as will the connector down to Railroad Street. The Aquarium lot will be closed briefly but will open at 09:45 AM.
Roads should return to normal traffic flow approximately 11:30 AM.
