NATURE OF INCIDENT: Duluth Man Charged w/Possess Precursor to Manufacture Methamphetamine

On Monday, May 13th, 2013 at 3:58 PM Investigators from the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force arrested Gerald Clayton Koss, a 43 year old male resident of Duluth. He was arrested on a Felony Saint Louis County no bail warrant for Violation of Probation at his residence in the 700 block of East 6th Street.

 During the arrest of Koss, investigators located substances which are used for manufacturing methamphetamine.  The task force then executed a search warrant and located household substances commonly used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Several of those items had residue on them which tested positive as methamphetamine.  The residence has been condemned by a city of Duluth Building Safety inspector.
 
Gerald Koss has the following convictions in Minnesota:

1993-Attemtped 1st Degree Burglary
1996-4th Degree Burglary
1999-5th Degree Possession of Methamphetamine
2003-Driving after Revocation
2004-Driving after Revocation
2006-False Name to Police
2006-Driving after Revocation
2007-Driving after Revocation
2008-Driving after Revocation
2010-Felony Theft by Check
 
Gerald Koss was transported to the Saint Louis County jail and booked on the warrant and has now been formally charged with Felony Possession of Substances with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine.
