SUBJECT: Pedestrian Lift Bridge Out of Operation

Pedestrian Lift Bridge Out of Order

Early this evening the pedestrian lift bridge, located in Canal Park, was stuck in the open or upright position. Bridge cables have malfunctioned leaving the bridge in this postion. The city is currently examining the extent of the problem and will begin the process of repairing the bridge. The bridge may be operational by the end of the weekend or early next week.
