INCIDENT LOCATION: 7th Avenue East & 4th Street
On Tuesday, May 28th, 2013 at 8:34 PM Duluth Police were called to the area of 7th Avenue East & 4th Street on a shooting that had just occurred.
Initial investigation revealed that the victim Deandre Deontrius Norwood, a 22 year old male resident of Duluth was walking outside when he was shot by a single gunshot resulting in a wound to the head. He was transported by private vehicle to Essentia St. Mary’s hospital and is in stable condition.
If anyone has any information about this incident they are asked to call 911. Duluth Police Violent Crimes Unit investigators are following up on several leads. This is an active investigation and no further information is available at this time.
