Lake of The Lark Festival - Traffic Advisory
The Lake of The Lark Festival will begin Friday July 12, 2013 at 6:00 pm, at the airport at the end of Park Point. The event runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Traffic will be allowed up to Sky Harbor Airport, however it will move slowly and there may be heavy pedestrian traffic as well. Parking will be allowed in the spots just north of the Airport, in the Park Point lots, and along some of the east side of Minnesota Avenue inside the park. Motorists need to watch for areas posted “No Parking".
Motorists also need to be aware of a barricaded "No Parking" area inside the main paved Park Point Lot. This restricted parking area will be reserved for attendees of 3 other additional events at the Beach House: a wedding, a paddle board event, and a parachuting event. Motorists who park in this barricaded/signed area that are not affiliated with these 3 events will be tagged and towed.
When driving in the Park Point area, motorists are urged to drive slow, with care, and watch for pedestrians and posted no parking areas.
Contact Officer Bill Stovern at (218) 730-5678 with any questions.
