Mayor Ness kicks off National Night Out at the Emerald Community Garden
 
Duluth, MN – The public is invited to join Mayor Ness as he kicks off National Night Out at the Emerald Community Garden, located at 2002 W 4th Street (corner of 4th Street and 20th Ave W) on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at 4:30 p.m. 
 
The garden is one of the newest community gathering spots in Lincoln Park, developed in partnership with the City of Duluth, the Duluth Community Garden Program, and the Lincoln Park Fair Food Access Campaign as part of the Let’s Grow Lincoln Park initiative which is made possible through a Cities of Service Impact Volunteering Fund grant.
 
Neighbors across Duluth will be gathering together at many different locations to celebrate community during National Night Out on August 6.  At least 50 events have been posted to the City of Duluth website, www.duluthmn.gov.
