NATURE OF INCIDENT: Possible Abduction

INCIDENT LOCATION: 1900 block West 3rd Street

On Wednesday, August 7th, 2013 at 5:43 PM Duluth Police responded to the 1900 block of West 3rd Street on the report of a possible abduction that had just occurred. 

The caller said a black Ford Expedition with white rims; with a possible partial license plate that may end in “03” pulled up to her, a male got out and pushed her and then forced a 14 year old juvenile female into the vehicle. The vehicle which was occupied by three other people then left westbound on 3rd Street.
The suspect is described as a Native American male, 5’11”; black hair in a braid, wearing all dark clothing, long-sleeved shirt with “Chicago Bulls” printed on the back, was carrying a police-style baton and had a black bandana on his face.
The 14 year old Native American female is described as having long black hair that is up in a bun, white sunglasses, wearing a green shirt with “Aero” written on the chest, white leggings, white flip flops and a silver bracelet. We have not confirmed the identity of the potential victim.
The Duluth Police Department is seeking the public’s help. If anyone has any information about this incident they are asked to call 911. A KOPS alert (an attempt to locate system for law enforcement) has been activated.
