NATURE OF INCIDENT: Person with a Gun
CASE NO.: 13173674
INCIDENT DATE: 8/21/2013
INCIDENT TIME: 10:58 PM
INCIDENT LOCATION: 1300 block East 4th Street

On 8/21/13 at 10:58 pm Duluth Police responded to a disturbance at 12th Avenue East & 4th Street.  An officer on the scene was told there was a man standing in front of a residence in the 1300 block of East 4th Street with a rifle. The officer saw the male outside with a lever action rifle and he ordered him to drop it, which the male did and he then fled inside the residence.

Officers went to the residence and located and recognized the suspect as Marcus Michael Linky, a 22 year old male resident of the apartment who was now in bed.  Officers noticed he had little hair on his head (the suspect had shaggy hair).  Further investigation revealed that Linky had just shaved his head after holding the rifle and being seen by the officer.  Police obtained a search warrant and located cut hair, scissors and a baseball cap, along with clothes matching the description of what the suspect was seen wearing earlier by the officer.
Marcus Linky was charged with Fleeing a Police Officer on Foot, other charges are pending. The case remains under investigation. No further information is available at this time.
