NATURE OF INCIDENT: Male Arrested for Motor Vehicle Tampering

INCIDENT DATE: 8/28/2013
INCIDENT TIME: 4:09 AM
INCIDENT LOCATION: 300 block of North 60th Avenue West

On Tuesday, August 28th, 2013 at 4:09 AM Duluth Police were called to the 300 block of North 60th Avenue West for suspicious activity involving a group of males in the alley. As officers arrived a group of males took off running into the surrounding neighborhood. 

Officers set up a perimeter in the area and a short time later an officer spotted four males in the area of 56th Avenue West & Grand Avenue. The officer witnessed one of the males walk over to a vehicle and look in the windows; he then tried to open the passenger side door, which was locked.   Officers worked together to surround all four and they were detained and identified as follows:
-          Stephen Daniel Walker, a 28 year old male
-          Phillip Michael Stroik, a 28 year old male
-          Kenneth Lee White, a 28 year old male
-          a 14 year old juvenile male
Stephen Walker was transported to the Saint Louis County Jail for Motor Vehicle Tampering. Phillip Stroik and Kenneth White were issued citations for Fleeing Police on Foot and released; the juvenile male was issued citations for Curfew Violation and Fleeing Police on Foot and released to an adult.
