Public Meeting to Discuss Future Vision for
London Road
 
 
[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth and the Duluth-Superior Metropolitan Interstate Council (MIC) will be holding a public meeting to discuss community feedback about the current and future use of London Road between 10th Ave East and 21st Ave East. Over 200 residents were surveyed and those results will be presented at the meeting. The intent of the meeting is to gather community input to create a vision for London Road that encapsulates safety and usability for pedestrians, motorists, and bicyclists.  
 
The public is invited to attend the meeting on October 3, 2013, at 5:30 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, 1100 Superior Street. Meeting Participants are asked to enter the building from London Road.
 
Some results of the survey inlcude:
  • 80% found that there are issues with crossing London Road on foot and by car.
  • 50% believe that London Road does not function well today.
  • 75% see London Road as a “walkable-bikeable mixed-use corridor” in the future.
