Reconstruction of West First Street Begins Monday, September 30th

Beginning on Monday, September 30th West First Street will be closed to thru traffic due to reconstruction.  Construction will take place on West First Street between Old Piedmont Avenue and Mesabi Avenue. The City of Duluth road construction crew will rebuild, replace curbs and blacktop West First Street. This road project is expected to be completed by the end of October. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes.
