Public meeting on Glenwood Street reconstruction to be held December 3
 
 

The City of Duluth invites the public to attend a meeting for the upcoming Glenwood Street Reconstruction Project, which is scheduled for construction in the summer of 2010 and 2011.  The meeting will be held on Thursday, December 03, 2009, at 6:00 PM at the East High School Cafeteria (2900 E. 4th Street). The project includes full reconstruction of Glenwood Street from 43rd Avenue East to 60th Avenue East. 

 

The City and its engineering consultant, Salo Engineering, are seeking public input on features to be included on Glenwood Street such as parking lanes, bike lanes, grass boulevards, and sidewalks. A short presentation will be followed by an opportunity for the public to ask questions. Questions will be limited to the roadway section and features to be included. Future meetings will be held to address design and construction questions regarding sewers, watermain, and effects on individual properties.

 

This project will be funded by federal, state, and local utility funds, and by special assessments to benefited properties. Details of these assessments will be included in future mailings and meetings.
