INCIDENT LOCATION: 5500 block of West 8th Street
On Wednesday, December 4th, 2013 at 12:45am Duluth Police were called to the 5500 block of West 8th Street on a person prowling vehicles in the area.
Officers arrived and observed evidence that the suspect had checked vehicles parked on West 8th Street, from 56th to 44th Avenue West. Officers located Joshua Leel Miller, a 20 year old male resident of Duluth. Officers located items taken in a vehicle prowl on the ground near MILLER’s shoeprints and he was identified by a witness.
A search of MILLER also turned up a .22 revolver that was loaded with six rounds. MILLER admitted taking it out of one of the vehicles he had prowled.
Joshua MILLER was brought to the Saint Louis County and has been formally charged with Felony Theft of a Firearm, Gross Misdemeanor Possession of a Pistol without a Permit, Carrying a Pistol Under the Influence (Misdemeanor) and Tampering with a Motor Vehicle (Misdemeanor).
