 Duluth Snow Plow Operators to Resume Snow Removal

 
[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth Maintenance Operations crews are planning to conduct snow removal operations over the next couple of days, weather permitting. Crews will be tackling the following areas on Wednesday and Thursday this week:
 
Wednesday 2:00 to 7:00 a.m. – Crews will finish clearing Michigan St. in addition to First Street from 6th Ave W to 8th Ave E., Avenues between Superior St and First St.
Wednesday 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. -  Avenues between First St. and 4th St from Mesaba to 6th Ave E.
Thursday 2:00 to 7:00 a.m. -  Canal park area
Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 – Avenues between First St. and 4th St., from Mesaba to 6th Ave E
 
Residents are reminded to remove their cars during snow removal to allow crews access to the snow banks. This work should help alleviate visibility and mobility concerns for motorists and pedestrians. The City thanks residents for their cooperation and patience. 
 
With the heavy snowfalls to date, 2013 is now the second snowiest calendar year in the past 130 years.
