Duluth Snow Removal Operations to Take Place January 7

 

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth will be starting snow removal operations next Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 2:00 AM. Snow removal operations will cover several critical areas in downtown. The operations will cease at 7:00 AM so as not to delay early morning rush hour.

City crews will be removing the accumulated piles of snow along the "avenues" between Mesaba and 4th Ave East. Operations are anticipated to resume the rest of the week with crews hopefully reaching the hospital districts and tackling East 4th Street, pending good weather. 

Residents are requested to move their cars in order for crews to work expeditiously. Unmoved cars risk being ticketed and towed by the Duluth Police Department.
